Very nice design, what's the lore around them ?

First of all, thank you!
Second, glad you asked, they are related to my sona's lore (if it makes sense, kinda developed him to be more of a character)
They act as his main foil, being a group of robotic sky pirates who loot money and treasure, having a whole armada of goons
In regards to deeper lore (and that's something I barely mentioned if at all online) the story takes place in a far alternate future of Earth where android technology got insanely advanced, with the Gearloose Pirates belonging to a series of outdated droids nicknamed "old world droids" - the old world being the era before a worldwide nuclear war and flood that happened in the past. Captain Gearloose is actually an old combat unit who served in the war, and now that he outlived his usefuleness he reporpused himself to a life of piracy, keeping up his function to be used for combat. In his pursuits he recruited the other generals - who used to be entertainment and worker droids - and assembeled his armada.
